Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how ListMinder (“ListMinder,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the ListMinder Android application and visit the ListMinder website.

ListMinder is a shopping-list application. You do not need to create an account to use the app.

Information stored on your device

Your shopping lists and related content are primarily stored locally in the app on your device. This content may include:

• Shopping-list and item names
• Quantities, prices, notes, and completion status
• Categories and measurement units
• Shopping and purchase history

ListMinder does not currently provide an online account or a cloud-sync service for this shopping-list database. Android operating-system backup features may back up app data according to your device and Google account settings.

Analytics information

ListMinder uses Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used and to improve its features and reliability. Analytics information may include:

• App interactions and feature-usage events
• Device, app-version, and approximate technical information
• Firebase-generated app-instance or installation identifiers
• Values attached to app events, including list names, item names, category names, and measurement-unit names

Please avoid entering personal, confidential, or sensitive information in list names, item names, categories, or measurement units.

Crash and diagnostic information

ListMinder uses Firebase Crashlytics to identify crashes and technical problems. Crashlytics may automatically process crash logs, stack traces, relevant application state, device metadata, app-version information, and a Firebase installation identifier. Analytics events immediately preceding a crash may also be included as diagnostic breadcrumbs.

How we use information

We use the information described above to:

• Provide and maintain ListMinder
• Understand which features are useful
• Diagnose crashes, errors, and performance problems
• Improve the app’s functionality, usability, and reliability
• Protect the app and investigate misuse when necessary

Service providers and sharing

Google Firebase processes analytics and diagnostic information for ListMinder. Google may process this information on servers located outside your country. Its handling of information is governed by applicable Google and Firebase terms and privacy documentation.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share information with third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes. We may disclose information if required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, our rights, or the security of the service.

Data retention

Locally stored shopping-list information remains on your device until you delete it, clear the app’s data, or uninstall the app, subject to any Android backup that you have enabled.

Analytics and diagnostic information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, according to our Firebase configuration and Google’s applicable retention practices.

Your choices and rights

You can control or remove locally stored information by:

• Editing or deleting information inside ListMinder
• Clearing ListMinder’s storage in Android settings
• Uninstalling the app
• Managing Android backup settings on your device

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights regarding personal information, such as requesting access, correction, or deletion. To make a privacy request, contact us using the email address below. We may need enough information to understand and respond to your request.

Children’s privacy

ListMinder is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us so that we can review the situation.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information. However, no device, storage system, or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when ListMinder’s features, services, or legal obligations change. We will post the updated policy on this page and revise the effective date above.
